When are the Best Times to Buy or Sell a House?

I am often asked this question by potential clients and I have typically answered with Spring months followed by those in the Fall.

Now that we are starting a new year, let’s take a look at some of the data available from the National Association of Realtors from 2014 on the most popular listing days, dates, &  months.

Most popular in 2014

  • Dates for listing homes: April and May
  • Months to launch listings: April, May, & June
  • Days of the week: Thursday and Friday

Least popular in 2014

  • Months to launch listings: November & December
  • Days of the week: Saturday & Sunday
