If I could somehow rate Dan higher than A, I would. From the very beginning he was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He did a great job of taking our wishlist and knowing which neighborhoods and houses might appeal to us. He was ALWAYS incredibly responsive and truly cared about making sure we made a good purchase.
After showing us several houses in one day and working with multiple other clients he went the extra mile to submit a late night offer so that our chances of acceptance were maximized. I was and am continually impressed with Dan’s dedication to his profession and his clients. I would recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell a house. He was great to work with on a personal level and most importantly, thorough in everything we did. Because of Dan, we had no hesitations or questions when it came time to close. He even went above and beyond to ensure we closed on time. You could tell his effort was a reflection of his desire to genuinely help us and do well at a profession he’s obviously passionate about. Dan is the best! We started the process of buying our house and we were not living in St. Louis yet. He accommodated us and met with us whenever it was convenient for us (we probably ruined many of his weekends, but he was happy to help). Throughout the whole process, he was on point, always had an answer or a solution to our concerns. It was funny because every solution he suggested, it usually ended with us saying: “yeap, let’s do that”. We always trusted he was looking out for us, and we are very happy we found him and that now we have our home sweet home in St. Louis!

I most recently accompanied my boyfriend, a UK native, on his experience as a first time homebuyer here in Saint Louis. Initially we scoured the Internet and after spotting an open house of interest, we saw the property and fell, albeit naively, in love with the house. Upon receiving some advice from my stepfather who is a multiple homebuyer, we decided to contact a realtor to not only get an educated opinion of the home, but to eventually guide us through the very new to us process of securing it’s purchase.
To my great fortune, I read a series of positive reviews on a realtor in our area by the name of Dan Brassil. Employing him as our realtor was the best decision we could have made as first time homebuyers. Dan could have easily sold us on the first home we fell in love with & made his cut of the sale in quick order. Instead, he gave us an excellent unbiased and educated opinion of the home, pointing out both its strengths and weaknesses. Importantly, he noted that the original wood siding on the home had many layers of paint and due to its deteriorating condition, would likely need to be replaced before we turned around to sell the home in 4 years time. He would have been happy to help us place an offer if that was what we truly wanted, but he wouldn’t let us make that decision without giving us a reality check on the resale potential of the home.
After deciding against the purchase of the initial home we looked at, Dan astutely guided us through the search for other properties to consider. He setup an online portal for us that he tailored to what we specifically wanted in a home (# of rooms, price range, neighborhood, etc). He was always quick to reply on any questions/concerns we had on homes of interest on the site & would go out of his way to quickly setup a viewing of a home we wanted to take a look at. Once we decided on the house we would eventually call home, he made the process of buying that house effortless. He succinctly outlined what we would need to get done to close on the house in a timely manner, making sure we knew what would be involved at each step. In addition, he offered excellent advice and spoke on our behalf when we needed to settle on terms with the sellers.
As my boyfriend signed the final paperwork & deed on the house at the title company, he was confident & secure in the purchase he was making. We owe that peace of my mind on closing day to Dan & we will not consider going to anyone else when it comes time to sell our home.
I’m going to start off by saying, buying a house is the most stressful thing I’ve ever done. Thanks to Dan, it was also one of the best experiences of my life.
Pros: Dan is extremely knowledgeable about the amazing city/county. He is also very knowledgeable about the homes themselves. I know this, because my father in-law is a carpenter and was extremely impressed by Dan’s knowledge.
Dan was the most honest and straight forward person during the entire process. He even went as far as to break my wife’s heart by telling her we shouldn’t buy the house of her dreams (due to comps, etc), which turned out for the better since we ended up finding a much better home in a better area. Not only did Dan assist us in the home buying process, he’s also has kept in touch with us it make sure all is well by sending cards and even delivering a pumpkin for Halloween!
Conclusion: I would highly recommend Dan to anyone on the market for a home or to sell a home. Dan has already helped one of my friends and I’ll be making sure that rest of them visit Dan as well.

My house had multiple offers at the time so we had some stiff competition and little time to spare. He worked quickly and it’s thanks to his speed and efficiency that I managed to get the winning bid! Even after getting under contract, he continued to make the process a breeze with updated timelines and keeping me on track with all the steps all the way through closing.
