SLACO's Regional Neighborhoods Conference

November 2, 2013 @ 8:00 am - 2:00 pm

$25

This conference is designed for neighborhood leaders, residents, and businesspersons who want to learn more about how to keep their neighborhood safe, clean, vibrant, and prosperous. Attendees will have plenty of time to network and will select three workshop sessions during the morning.   The conference committee has developed six general headings, called tracks, for the workshop sessions:

  • Success stories
  • Crime and public safety
  • “How-to’s”
  • Technology and your neighborhood
  • Place-based collaborations
  • Miscellaneous topics

At lunch, conference participants will be able to choose among rooms hosted by outstanding local leaders they would like to meet. At 1 p.m., the highlight of the day will be a keynote panel featuring local leaders in community development and outreach.

The event will be held Saturday, November 2, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Harris-Stowe State University, with most events at the Clay Early Childhood Center across Compton Avenue from Chaifetz Arena at Saint Louis University. Free parking is located next to the building. A continental breakfast and lunch are included in the registration fee, which covers our costs.

By September 25, the full preliminary program will be shown at http://www.slaco-mo.org/Neighborhood_Conference.php.
