Moonlight Ramble

On August 17th, 2013, the tradition continues with the 50th Annual Moonlight Ramble so grab your bicycle and join us under the light of the moon for a bike ride adventure!

The annual Moonlight Ramble is the “World’s Original Nighttime Bike Ride” held in St. Louis, Missouri at midnight near the full moon in August. Attracting thousands of riders each year, the event includes a leisurely bike ride through the streets of St. Louis, a vendor area, entertainment, a commemorative event shirt (It glows in the dark!), and an after-ride party with snacks and drinks.

Date: August 17th, 2013 – Saturday Night/Sunday Morning
Time: Registration Opens: 9:00 pm on August 17th
Start of the Race: 12:01 am on August 18th
After-Party for Riders: 1:00am – 3:00am on August 18th
Location: The starting point for this year’s Ride is Busch Stadium Parking Lot C (at the corner of 8th & Cerre on the Southwest corner of Busch Stadium)
Who: All ages are welcome to participate (* riders under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.)

REGISTRATION Registration is required for participation. Only those riders with the proper credentials will be allowed to participate.

ADVANCE REGISTRATION DEADLINE is Sunday, August 11th

THE ROUTE This is top secret! However, we can tell you the starting point which is at the corner of 8th & Cerre near Busch Stadium. You can choose between a short (10.5) ride and a long (18.5) ride.

The staging area for the ride will take place at 8th & Cerre near Busch Stadium. Plan on arriving between 9:00pm and 11:45pm. The ride starts at 12:01am. The last rider must start no later than 1:30am. You will be given a map of the route at the staging area.

PACKET PICK-UP This year we will have packet pick-up locations in the days leading up to the ride. When you register, you will choose which location you would like to pick up your packet. At the packet pick-up location, you will receive your event shirts and credentials to participate in the event.

VOLUNTEERS If you are unable to ride but still want to participate, you can become a volunteer.

Hostelling International USA (registered as American Youth Hostels, Inc.) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization founded in 1934 to promote international understanding of the world and its people through hostelling. HI-USA operates a network of over 60 quality hostel accommodations throughout the United States that are inexpensive, safe and clean.
