First Friday at the Science Center – Jurassic World

Free

First Friday is the Science Center’s premier experience for adults. Many activities are designed with individuals age 16 or older in mind. Families are welcome to enjoy the activities using parental discretion.

Unless otherwise noted $, all activities are FREE! Free parking on First Fridays! All items marked with a TR require tickets. Tickets for free screenings available at any box office, starting at 6:00 pm.

SPECIAL PRESENTATION: PEERING INTO A JURASSIC WORLD – THE NEW SCIENCE OF FLESHING OUT DINOSAURS
Discover the latest in dinosaur digital reconstruction with the Science Center’s collaborating paleontologist, Dr. Ashley Morhardt, Washington University School of Medicine. Learn about the Visible Interactive Dinosaur Project and how its findings compare to how dinosaurs are depicted in Jurassic World.

PLAY DINOSAURS AMONG US!
Start the game on the First Floor of the Main Building at the Archon table. Travel throughout the campus to discover Jurassic Park-inspired clues, solve the challenge, and claim your prize!

Get creative in the Fossil Prep Lab and make your own Dino Masks!

Learn about fossils with the Eastern Missouri Society of Paleontology.

FIRST FLOOR-1
Visit the Life Science Lab and learn about genetics and evolution with our favorite amphibians, the axolotls.

Visit our First Friday Partners, including Dancakes and Anime St. Louis, in Boeing Hall South at our Dealers’ Room and Lounge and enjoy food and drink specials!

Try some puzzles with Escape the Room St. Louis and learn about their many themed escape rooms.

Explore Triceratops brain research with Washington University in St. Louis.

Try out paleontology and adventure board games from Game Nite, in the Life Science Lab Classroom.

GROW-1

Head out to GROW and learn about our Youth Exploring Science (YES) Program and how paleontology can be integrated into STEM learning.

Sink your teeth into the Titanosaur Burger (1/2 pound burger with bacon jam & American cheese) at the Fermentation Station.

Don’t miss tonight’s food and drink specials in The Loft – Mesozoic Mimosa and Volcanic Dino Wings (Spicy Chicken Wings).

Planetarium – Celebrating Star Wars Day!

Try out the Blue Motion Simulators ($5 for Non-Members and Members) the I-360 Interactive Flight Simulators ($7/$6 for Members) and our new Virtual Reality Transporter ($10/$9 for Members).
Public Telescope Viewing – weather permitting (Archery Field) – night sky viewing beginning at 8pm, with the St. Louis Astronomical Society.
Learn about reconstructing genomes with the UMSL Technology Learning Center.
