Looking to be a little “greener” this year in getting rid of your Holiday Tree?
You are in luck as Saint Louis City is encouraging residents to take their Holiday Trees to one of 3 places to be recycled.
Why choose recycling?
Your trees will be recycled directly into mulch which you or other residents can take home free of charge!
A better option than trying to fit it into the alley yard waste recycling containers
Trees may be dropped off at:
- Forest Park (Lower Muny Opera parking lot)
- O’Fallon Park, (West Florissant and Holly, picnic grounds No. 4)
- Carondelet Park (Grand and Holly Hills in area between gate and recycling containers)
Before dropping your trees off, make sure they are free of all decorations and not inside any plastic bags that may have been used for transport.
The city recycles 16,000 to 18,000 trees per year!
