Make the season merry and bright when you visit the Saint Louis Art Museum on December 8-10 for Winter Celebrations! The Saint Louis Art Museum’s gift to you is a weekend of festivities for family and friends inspired by the warmth of the season and cultures near and far. You’ll find performances and art activities that are the traditions you love, and new experiences to delight and surprise. Discover wonderful works of art on your scavenger hunt and see our magical tree. It’s a weekend of joy!

Friday, December 8

Hot Cocoa Happy Hour
5–8 pm
Sculpture Hall
Jingle and mingle at the hot cocoa happy hour in Sculpture Hall while enjoying community performances. Adult and kid-friendly beverages are available for purchase.

Create Lab
5–9 pm
Grigg Gallery
Create your own work of art inspired by seasonal traditions from around the world. Each day features a different activity.

Give Lab
5–9 pm
Education Center
Make a seasonal card to lift someone’s spirits. Each day’s cards will be donated to a different community organization in St. Louis.

Garden Gathering
5:30–6:30 pm
Grace Taylor Broughton Sculpture Garden

5:30 pm – VSA Arts of Missouri and Living Arts Studio present festive puppets inspired by the Museum’s collection

St. Louis Christmas Carols Association performs traditional holiday favorites

6 pm – Staam A Capella from Washington University in St. Louis sing Hebrew and Jewish music.

Community Showcase
6:30 pm – Gloria Hansen and the St. Louis Mexican Cultural Institute perform traditional Mexican and Las Posadas holiday songs.

7 pm – Normandy High School musicians play modern jazz and rhythm & blues

The Farrell Auditorium
St. Louis Osuwa Taiko perform Japanese drumming, and Livety: Indigenous Dance perform traditional West African dance and drumming.

12:15 pm – Webster Groves High School Jazz I plays Duke Ellington’s The Nutcracker Suite

1:15 pm – Dance Center of Kirkwood perform scenes from The Nutcracker

3:15 pm – Dances of India performs traditional Indian dance

Education Center
Family-level Members and above enjoy additional festivities including cookies, cocoa, and storytelling. A current membership card at an eligible level is required for entry.

Winter Concert

Enjoy Gateway Science Academy’s Orchestra and Band during a special winter performance that will raise your holiday spirits!
